Experience & Family Dinner
Share a traditional Kyrgyz meal together in a yurt!
Become part of a Kyrgyz family in this cultural and culinary experience. You’ll not only enjoy home-cooked Kyrgyz food and learn how to make boorsok (a local fried bread), but you’ll also have the opportunity to dine with the family in a traditional yurt similar to what Kyrgyz nomads have used for millennia. During dinner, your Kyrgyz family will share legends and stories about Kyrgyz culture, as well as teach you about traditional music and songs.
- Taste at least 5 kinds of home-cooked Kyrgyz dishes in a traditional yurt.
- Experience authentic Kyrgyz culture, including traditional music and learning how to make your own boorsok fried bread
- Interact with a local family to learn the stories behind the culture and cuisine. Understand the blend of tradition and modernity in Kyrgyz life today.
*If you or anyone in a group has any dietary restrictions or food allergies, we'll try our best to accommodate them, within reason. If we see that we can't accommodate your particular needs we'll let you know as soon as possible so you can make other arrangements. Traditionally, most Kyrgyz dishes will contain meat (usually lamb or beef). However, vegetarian/vegan dishes can be made available.
